Module geodesy.transform.geocentric_translation
EPSG 1031 geocentric translations with explicit source-to-target semantics.
The module models the three translation parameters as a strong immutable
transformation value. Translation units remain explicit through their
relationship to the geocentric coordinates, is the identity, and
the exact inverse parameterization is available by sign reversal.
Standards
EPSG method 1031 -- Geocentric translations (geocentric domain).
Units
X/Y/Z translations use the same linear unit as source and target geocentric coordinates.
Numerics
The transformation is direct component-wise translation; no approximate rotation or iterative numerical method is involved.
Performance
Transformation is constant-space, allocation-free component arithmetic.
Validation
Validated with EPSG/IOGP semantics, internal contract tests, and PROJ Helmert translation-only differential comparisons.
